Our office manager, Star, has been with Focal Point Eyecare since we began Myopia Management in May 2022. She has been in the eyecare industry for 12 years. Star started her optical journey in her hometown of Ardmore, Oklahoma with Dr. Blake Bush. She has worked at several different offices across multiple states, namely TX and Colorado.
Star has been ABO certified as an optician. She is an amazing tech who can complete standard pre-testing and special testing or mechanics such as Visual Fields, LLLT, IPL, and RF. Star also handles all of our back-end duties (insurance, orders, etc). Need glasses? She is amazing at finding the perfect frame to your fit your face.
Star's playful, fun, bubbly nature will make anyone leave the office with a smile. Her laugh is contagious and can always be heard throughout the office. In her spare time, Star enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys dying her hair colorful shades. We promise you will never see her with the same color for long!

Kristina is the first face you’ll see when you come in. Sweet, honest, and predictable, we consider Kristina our perfect fit, though her humility would never let you know that. She is the glue that holds the office together, doing everything from scheduling to contact lens trainings.
She’d like to say a few words:
Hi! I'm Kristina, and I'm the Optometric Technician here at Focal Point Eyecare, but you can find me doing other various tasks, like Front Desk and Optician-ing. In my free time, you'll find me listening to K-POP, cross-stitching, and playing TFT.
I was born in Oklahoma but raised in Washington. I moved to Texas Oct. 2023, and it's been good so far! I hold an Associates in Arts & Science and am in pursuit of my Bachelors (Data Analytics and Sociology) at the University of North Texas.
I am still discovering my passions in life. I hope to find that through my experience here in Texas, as well as through friends and family.

Jessica
PX Marketing Coordinator
Jessica is our newest recruit. She started in special education as a middle school crisis manager and 9th grade bio teacher. She also hosted a choir club and a Zumba class on the side. (Yes, it was as crazy as it sounds!) She loves working with kids and young adults. Everything is “the next generation” in her world, making her a great fit for pediatric care and myopia management. You can find her hiding Bruce the Goose around the office, setting out candy, or generally enticing your inner child to play.
Glasses are more than a medical device; they are a part of your self expression. Any time you need an honest opinion on frames, Jessica will guide you to the right fit for your face while considering your unique personality.
Jessica also spent 12 years in a marketing business and loves creative design. Notice any changes around the site? That’s her! (Hi, guys!) She’s so happy to be the Patient Experience Marketing Coordinator for Focal Point Eyecare. It’s really the best role she’s ever had.

Bruce the Goose
Patient Liaison and Mascot
Meet Bruce, our Greeter Goose! Bruce loves to visit other clinics and tour the DFW area, especially when it comes to pediatric offices. He is often found studying up on the best technology for dry eye treatments (a notorious problem for ganders).
Bruce is a top performer! He is excellent at getting a genuine smile, helping you feel comfortable in your new specs. He provides emotional support to our patients when they’re having a hard day. Take a selfie with this handsome man (er, goose) for a chance to be featured on our social media pages, or simply to share it with your family and friends.
